The Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law and the Judicial Institute of Jordan will organise a high level meeting of Judicial Institutes and Ministries of Justice from Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia and Palestine on September 20th and 21st in Amman, Jordan.  The meeting is part of the programme “Building Human Rights Knowledge and Resources in the Middle East and North Africa”, aiming at increasing the ability of academic and professional training institutions in the MENA region to provide the resources needed for institutions and individuals in Arab societies to promote and protect human rights. The focus of the meeting will be to enable the concerned institutes and ministries to meet with other partners to discuss potential areas for regional cooperation as well as potential activities. Resources persons from the region, Sweden and the UN will provide information on best practices for regional cooperation and international standards.
